So spells to reduce damage from those sources will help a lot. If it uses breath weapon you're hosed.Įdit: oh, and the specters do tons of necrotic damage iirc, the boss hits your whole party with lightning in the first phase and the dragon breath is poison. Then you just use every consumable and spell you have to kill the dragon ASAP. Then in the second (dragon) phase, make sure to have non-tank characters back away a few squares so the Wing Attack doesn't gently caress them up. You'll eat a lot of lightning damage if you don't rush through that phase. I had my ranger put Longstrider on a character with the spider walking boots to more quickly move between pillars. What I found helpful was during the first phase with the spectres, have one of your characters focus solely on deactivating the pillars. You're right you just have to burn the boss the gently caress down before it uses breath weapon and wipes your party. That was far far and away the toughest boss fight in the game for me. Mostly just crying on the internet to see if that helps. Its saves are insanely high *and* it has Legendary Resistance *and* crazy damage output *and* its adds deal tons of damage too and have too much HP and are too spread out to burn down quickly. Game has been good and felt pretty balanced on Cataclysm difficulty but I'm straight up not having a good time with the Conjuration Gem boss fight. For some reason you can't leave, and I guess all the cultists and soraks live off goodberries because there's no food stored anywhere. Yeah I was also in a bit of a jam there, although at least I had my full party to use basic attacks and cantrips with. Known throughout the world! Chop people's head off to the ground! Angry eyes that frighten people! Dragon among humans, king of dragons. But even then, after that the game throws so much food at you it's the only time it's a bind The funny thing is ran into the same scenario, but leveled up and picked the create food spell which can be auto cast when resting. I don't know what would happen in that case. So I learned that you can't leave a map until you completed it, apparently, you should always stock up on rations, and you could potentially get in a case where you can't bring your party members back up if you're out of potions and nobody conscious can heal them. Now when I travel back to the entrance of the map the blue square is there and I can travel to the world map. Fortunately I had a couple of healing potions in my bags to bring them back up, found one more ration on the Sorak and was able to rest. For fun I made one of the unconscious one take the crown. Funny thing is, my unconscious companions were active during the cut-scene, but back to unconscious right after. Managed to beat the final boss, again with two unconscious (it was fun to beat them with only cantrips and weapons). Why doesn't the game let you say "Alright you don't have enough food for everybody to rest, choose who does" ? But no, if you have three rations but four party members, nobody rests. Then couldn't rest at the camp because I only had three rations. So I had to go back and fight the spiders. I fast traveled all the way back to the entrance of the map - but there's no way to leave it, the blue square that allows you to travel to the world map wasn't there.
